mmts phase 2 train routes and timings

MMTS Phase 2 works is going to be delay again, it seems the by the year end the mmts phase 2 should be on track as per the earlier deadline. The defense land involved in this mmts train routes however they got the approval from defense. In 2003 the mmts phase 1 started successfully, currently the south central railway is running 121 services and almost 1.5 lakh passengers will travel daily in thse mmts trains, if the phase 2 works completes this will grow up to 6 lakh passengers.  Rail Vikas Nigam Limited is looking into all these mmts phase 2 works and coordinating all the works like, laying of track, signaling etc. Almost 4 km route from moulali and santh nagar passes to the defense land they objected, the work on stall for while.Defense is asking for 1000 acres to provide the defense land. This phase 2 includes five new routes.

In 2014 the mmts phase 2 works has started. It hase been long since mmts phase 2 has started but due to some land acquisition and other things like release of funds in budget this project has got delayed a decade. As everybody wants the public transport to reduce the air pollution and safe journey in the city. As per the mmts phase 2 plan there are six new routes where the mmts train services are proposed. In the six routes of the mmts phase 2 two routes are ready for serve the Hyderabad commuters. In this view MMTS Time Table will be update or possibility of changes in MMTS timings in future. South Central Railway (SCR) has to decide the timings, which will take some time to decide. The mmts phase 2 route Tellapur to Ramachandrapuram and Secunderabad to Bollarm via Medchal is ready to launch in December end. Where as Secunderabad to Ghatkesar via Moulali will be ready within 3 months as per Rail Vikas Nigam limited.

The mmts phase 2 routes are
1) Secunderabad - Moulali - ghatkesar
2) Secunderabad - Bollarm - Medchal --Ready to Launch
3) Tellapur - Ramachandrapuram -- Ready to Launch
4) Falaknuma - umdanagar -Shamshabad
5) Moulali to Sanathnagar
6) Moulali to Seethafalmandi

Now the commuters from Falaknuma and secunderabad can travel to Ramachandrapuram via Lingampally, in other routes the quadrupling, electrification and doubling works on full swing, within six months all other routes will also come into service as the SCR.

MMTS Train Timings

MMTS is abbreviated as multi modal transport system. It is known as MMTS in hyderabad and secunderabad twin cities. It runs between local and non local sub urban areas of twin cities. These MMTS trains runs on general railway track only which is maintained by our south central railways (SCR). The trains are very frequent between various stations an average of every 30 to 40 min you will have one local train. MMTS train timings are important to avoid time delay.

MMTS Train Timings

These MMTS trains runs between various routes and number of trips in twin cities of hyderabad and secunderabad.

The train routes are

1. Lingampally to hyderabad
2. Lingampally to Falaknuma
3. Lingampally to Secunderabad
4. Hyderabad to Lingampally
5. Hyderabad to Falaknuma
6. Hyderabad to Secunderabad
7. Falaknuma to Lingampally
8. Falaknuma to Secunderabad
9. Falaknuma to Hyderabad

MMTS train timings will bit differ they start from morning 4 a.m to night 11:30 a.m. Some times the south central railways  runs more trips and nights on festive seasons like Ganesh nimarjanam etc as per the needs. The fare will be very very less compare to city bus charges and there won't be any air pollution. At every MMTS train station ATVMs automatic ticket vending machines are installed for passenger tickets using smart cards which are available at mmts ticket counters.

The government of India has sanctioned funds in 2017-2018 budget and  green signal for second phase.
